NONNA ARMIDA CHRISTMAS MENU
The number of Christmas menus that are traditional in Italy are as many as the number of Italian families.
During the next 4 weeks I will post a menu that takes its inspiration from my Nonna and the Veneto region of course. It has always been the Family menu since I was born, with some variations now and then.
This is a short version, by next Christmas we will be ready to discuss additions like homemade pasta!
I will propose an appetizer, a main course, three kinds of sauces to accompany the meat and the dessert. One post every week for four weeks with the following schedule:
INSALATA RUSSA WITH HOMEMADE MAYO AND GAMBERI
BOLLITO MISTO: BEEF FLANK, OX TAIL, VEAL TONGUE, ZAMPONE, SOUP HEN
SAUCES: SALSA VERDE, PEARA’, HORSERADISH SAUCE
MASCARPONE CREAM FOR PANETTONE
Of course any of these dishes are great any other day of the year! Enjoy!
